TV Show “Alone” highlights the importance of mindset work

Learning effective tools to shift your mindset can be life-changing.

I’ve been fascinated by season one of the competition show “Alone” lately, where people survive in the wilderness on their own with only some basic supplies. It’s interesting to see how each person problem solves and even more interesting to see how truly VITAL mindset it. With all the distractions of modern life stripped away, the individuals' narration to the cameras really show how their mindset keeps them going, keeps them safe, allows for the possibility of change or discovery, or has the opposite effects.

Our mindset is affected by a variety of factors, but we can see clearly that having foundational tools to interrupt unhelpful thought patterns and step into resourceful ones is so important to surviving and thriving.

I use the tools I teach my clients every single day. I love how this show highlights the importance of checking in on how we are showing up for ourselves internally. I’m hopefully never going to have to be in the wilderness alone, but I’m grateful to be able to find more ease in exploring my internal wilderness!

(Shout out to Rusty and Nora for introducing me to this cool show!)
