Q: Can you help me get more comfortable with needles/shots so I can get an important vaccine?
A: I sure can! Hypnosis is a great tool to help you tolerate the experience better AND have fewer worries and dread in advance. Let’s chat. Keridwyn.com/contact

The free YearCompass is back, this time with a version specifically designed around experiences many of us faced in 2020. It is a lovely tool to reflect on the year past and look forward to the coming year.
You can fill it out online or print it out to write on it and do as much or as little as you’d like. They suggest doing it all in one sitting, but I personally find that a bit tricky and have always enjoyed doing it in bite-sized increments (no surprise there!)

This is an imperfect blog post. Welcome. (I’ve bolded my favorite takeaways for those of you who are in the mood to scan quickly)
During a recent TedTalk TalkBack event with friends, our conversation started around the TedTalk “Empathy is not an Endorsement” by Dylan Marron. While the TedTalk itself is a bit more like an inspirational Instagram image (focusing more on the DO rather than the HOW), it did give our group a great jumping-off-point for a vibrant discussion.
Here are some notes I took before and during the TalkBack.
NOTES TAKEN DURING THE TEDTALK:
End of year special! I’m offering a special rate for three Reframe Your Brain group members or email subscribers. Reach out if you’d like to discuss if hypnosis is a good fit for the changes you want to make in your life. Free consultation calls are also available.
I fell in love with this sweet little story, narrated by two small humans. A good reminder to reflect on where I’m spending my time lately:

I’d love to hear your response!

This TedTalk, Celeste Headlee’s “10 ways to have a better conversation,” is FULL of good advice.
The TedTalk is less than 12 minutes long, but if you want to jump in to the start of her Top 10 list, jump to 4:09.
What resonates the most with you? What do you plan on working on for yourself?
A few quotes (but, really, go ahead and listen to the full TedTalk. You can also read along with the transcript option):
Don’t multitask. . . I mean, be present. Be in that moment. Don’t think about your argument you had with your boss. …
Taking time to focus on ourselves is anything but selfish. Taking time to give ourselves space and learn to heal, to learn how to shift our thinking, to process emotions in a helpful way — these are all forms of true self care. This type of self-care recharges us so that we can be in the world in a better way. By showing up for ourselves, we show up better for those around us.
You are worthy of spending time on you.
