Crying is not a weakness
Feeling proud of everyone who was able to rediscover how to cry after being (implicitly or explicitly) told they shouldn’t.

“I think I went 15+ years of my life without crying. I don’t know why exactly. I never saw men cry growing up. I’ve only seen my dad shed a single tear after my gpa passed, and that was it. It kind of went with the culture I grew up in. Take care of things yourself and be tough. So I let years go by suppressing my feelings, not even knowing I was doing so. And those feelings didn’t just disappear, they just got buried deeper within until one day about 5 years ago I cried really hard. It was the most beautiful release I’d ever felt. I felt how freeing crying was. It’s like I was finally letting go of trapped emotions . . .Crying is not weakness. Crying is strength. Crying heals. Crying sets free.”
