Give your sorrow words
“Give sorrow words, the grief that does not speak knits up the o’er wrought heart and bids it break.” — William Shakespeare (Macbeth)
Speak your words out loud. Give sorrow and grief words — whether that’s speaking on the phone or video to a loved one — let them know you just want to be heard and ask them to hold space with you…maybe it’s aloud to your own voice recorder or a loved pet or stuffed animal. Maybe it’s sharing those words in a journal or through art. Let it come out. You are worthy of experiencing your emotions and giving your feelings words.
